Background

The LinRed solution gives a red reaction product with peroxidase. Sections stained with LinRed must be stained with a non-alcoholic counterstain (e.g. Mayer’s Hematoxylin, LINARIS Cat. No. EGH3411) and a water-based mounting medium (e.g. VectaMountTM AQ Vector Cat. No. H-5501).

This ready-to-use LinRed solution contains H2O2 in a stabilizing buffer and has been optimized for immunohistochemical applications.

The reagents are sufficient for approx. 5000 tissue sections.

  • 1 bottle of LinRed IHC solution (500 ml)
  • 1 dropbottle (empty) for the manual operation

  • Apply the desired amount of LinRed IHC solution to the prepared tissue section.
  • 5 – 30 minutes* Incubation at room temperature and protected from light.
  • To stop the color reaction, the cut should be rinsed with tap water.
  • If necessary, counterstain with Mayer’s hematoxilin (LINARIS CatNo EGH3411).
  • Cover the stained section in aqueous mounting medium (e.g. VectaMountTM AQ Vector CatNo. H-5501).

Check color development with the microscope.
