Background

K046 recognises smooth muscle actin, being specific for the alpha-isoform. Smooth muscle actin is expressed in normal smooth muscle and in myoepithelial cells, and also in tumours derived from these cells.
Anti-alpha Actin Smooth Muscle help in the characterization of stromal cell heterogeneity in various organs and in distinguishing smooth muscle cells from fibroblasts in mixed cultures.
