Background

This antibody can be used to label lambda chain-bearing immunoglobulins on the surface of normal and neoplastic B cells. Therefore, it is also suitable for the visualization of Bence Jones and extracellular Ig lambda chains.

Reagents sufficient for about 50-100 tissue sections

E037 monoclonal antibodies were prepared from immunoglobulins of mouse ascites. Mouse hybridoma cells were obtained by fusing myeloma cells with spleen cells from immunized mice.
BALB/c mice were immunized with the multidrug-resistant cell line CHrC5 from Chinese hamster ovarian tissue. After fusion of spleen cells from these mice with SP2/0 myeloma cells, the antibody-producing clone was identified by immunocytochemical staining of MDR cell lines.

The monoclonal antibody reacts specifically with the lambda chain of human immunoglobulins and is independent of their isotope. No cross-reactions with light chains of the kappa type occur.

Pretreatment

Proteolytic pretreatment with 0.1% pronase (Cat. No. E110), 10 at room temperature.

Incubation Period

1 hour at room temperature or overnight at 37°C (without proteolytic pretreatment).

Usage

Ready-to-use in PBS, BSA, NaN3 (0,09%) pH 7,4(*) suitable on cryostat sections and on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
